Our next Scout event is Survivor, the National Backwoods challenge.

Start: Fri 1st April 8pm
Finish: Sun 3rd April 12 PM (TBC)
Location: Castleconnell Scout Campsite
Cost: €50pp

This event will be for teams of 4. There are three levels- Delta, Beta and Alpha. We will have 3 teams on the Delta Subcamp. Places have been filled based on previous expression of interest – if in doubt, message the Scouters

Required Personal Equipment:

• Raingear (Jacket & Trousers)
• Hat & Gloves
• Boots
• Warm fleece
• 2 x Spare pairs of Socks
• 2 x Spare Underwear
• 1 x Spare Base Layer
• (1 Change of Clothes in separate pack with Scouter and NOT presented at Check-in)
• Sleeping bag
• Sleeping mat
• Survival bag/ bivvy bag
• Torch (with spare batteries)
• Bowl, Cup and Cutlery (NO utensils that can be used as Pots, etc)
• Knife/Penknife (suitable for survival tasks)
• Water Bottles – filled and in your Back Pack (To carry 2lt of water)
• Toiletries – NO Deodorant/ Sprays, etc
• Rucksack – ALL personal and Team equipment must fit into, or be attached to the Rucksacks. Participants will NOT be allowed to proceed beyond the check-in with items being carried – this is a Safety measure. Allow room for some team gear
