Scouts is where the fun really starts. Scouts do all their activities in small teams called Patrols, led by a Patrol Leader (PL) and Assistant Patrol Leader (APL). We currently have two patrols – the Wolves and Hawks. The PLs and APLs make up the Patrol Leaders Council (PLC), which helps the Scouters run the Scout Troop.

Scouts do lots of activities such as Camping, Hillwalking, Pioneering, Rock Climbing, Backwoods Living and Kayaking. Every year, we take part in a competition called the County Shield, which tests the Scouts on a number of different scouting skills.
The Scout Programme is based on Irish Explorer Tom Crean. The four awards Scouts can earn are named after his expeditions – Discovery, Terra Nova, Endurance and Polar.
