Annual Membership
The first half fees of €80 is overdue.If you still have to pay this please bring it to next Tuesdays Cub Meeting October 28th.
If you have 2 or more children in the group the cost is €70 each per term
All cheques to be made out to Scouting Ireland 23rd Limerick Group

DUNDRUM( Tipperary) WEEKEND
Our next activity is a weekend away in Dundrum Scout Centre Tipperary
The dates for this event are Friday November 21st to Sunday November 23rd
The cost of the event is €25and a €10 deposit must be paid no later than 28th October.
The balance must be paid by Tuesday November 11th

PARENTS MEETING
A meeting for parents will take place next Tuesday October 28th at 8pm in the Scout Hall during our cub meeting.It is important that all boys are represented as we need to talk to you about our annual cub camp next year before we go ahead and book the venue.
Please make every effort to attend

Cubs Sleepover Details Saturday October 18th 2014

The following are the arrangements for our sleepover at Caherdavin Scout Hall on Saturday October 18th to Sunday October 19th

  1. Cubs are asked to be at Scout Hall 3-30pm on Saturday. Once boys have their gear dropped off we will be asking you to drop them to the Treaty Stone for 4pm where we will be doing the Limerick City Challenge trail which will take 2 and half hours approx.
  2. Boys will be fed on Saturday evening. Please make sure they have had a lunch before the come to scout hall on Saturday afternoon
  3. Parents are asked to pick up the boys on Sunday at 10am sharp.(Leaders have other thinks to do so please be on time)

The boys are required to have the following with them

  1. Sleeping bag/ Ground Mat/Pillow
  2. Neckerchief must be worn. Rest of uniform is not to be worn
  3. Wet Gear
  4. Warm coat(Please make sure you son has this with him as we will be outdoors most of the time)
  5. Hat/Gloves
  6. Torch(Optional)
  7. Please make sure all gear is marked with their names
  8. I Pads or any games are brought at your own risk

 

The following is not allowed and we be taken from the boys if they have it

  1. Fizzy Drinks
  2. Pocket Knifes
  3. Mobile Phones
  4. Chewing Gum

NB: IF YOU CHILD IS ON ANY MEDICATION PLEASE INFORM US WHEN HE ARRIVES

 

County Beaver Skills Day Sunday October 19th

The following are the details for this Sunday October 19th County Skills Day in Curraghchase Scout Centre.

Beavers must make their own way to Curraghchase Scout centre
Beavers must be there 10-45am
Neckerchief must be worn if you have one
Packed lunch is required
Proper wet gear required
No Wellies
Old shoes/Trainers or Hiking shoes are best
Beavers must be picked up again 2-45pm.

DIRECTIONS TO CURRAGHCHASE SCOUT CENTRE

Go out the dock road going through the villages of Mungret,Clarina and Kildimo
Pass out the main entrance for Curraghchase Forest Park staying on N69
Shortly after going through Kilcornan turn left at the signpost for Adare/Rathkeale (Killeen Guest House is on your right hand side as you turn left. There may be a sign with Limerick Scout County here at this turning.
Continue on this road until the main road veers to the right and you see a narrow road going straight on.You may be directed at this stage to go onto this narrow road.
If so follow narrow road as far as it goes and turn right at end
Curraghchase Scout Centre is 500meters approx. on your left.
You will more than likely be directed to where you drop off the boys.

County Skills Day for Cubs
