Beaver Notes Feb 2013

Thanks to all who attended our recent sleepover, it went off very well. The boys have been “beavering” away at the Air Activities badge recently and we only have two more things to do (details to come) before we hand out the badges. (if you missed a night check out this page). We’ve got a busy couple of months coming up with the investiture, St Patrick’s Day, the Egg Hunt, County Hike and the Group Camp in Ruan Co. Clare. We’re also hoping to complete the Camping, Hillwalking, Backwoods and Pioneering badges as well as the Bree and Cronn Badges (End of year badges) so try to attend as much as you can.

Scout Shop & Neckerchiefs

The Scout Shop will be in the St Paul’s Scout Hall (in the St Paul’s School yard in Raheen) on Saturday Feb 23rd between 1pm and 3pm. If anyone wants to order a neckerchief, please text Barry before 5pm on Wednesday


Family members are invited to join us for the investiture next Monday Feb 25 from 7.30 to 8.30pm (beavers to arrive as normal at 7pm) Full uniform is required by ALL beavers.  Tea & coffee will be available afterwards.

Easter Egg Hunt

There will be a county event in Craggaunowen in Co Clare on Sunday April 7th from 10am to 1pm. This will cost €6 for Beavers (this includes activities and an Easter Egg).  Any parent that wants to come along can do so at the reduced rate of €6, instead of €9. This does not include an Easter egg! We need at least 10 beavers to attend

This is required by Monday March 11th at the VERY LATEST! As this is a county event we cannot accept any money beyond this date – no exceptions.

Registration Night

We will be collecting the €80 registration fee for this term on Thursday February 28th from 7pm to 8pm. If you cannot attend on this night or have any queries, please contact Barry.

Annual Camp

A deposit of €15 for the annual camp (July 7th/8th) is required by Monday March 11th. This is important so we can start planning the camp.
