The Cub pack attended the County Cub Camp in Pallaskenry from June 22nd to June 24th.The theme for the camp was the Olympics and the country we choose for the weekend was Portugal.We had the Portugal Flag and the Olympic Flags on our site.We had 15 boys on this event.
The boys arrived on Friday evening and that evening was free for the boys to do their own thing.Our Cubs took part in a capture the flag against Murroe.Saturday after breakfast the Camp was officially opened.each group got a replica Olympic tourch.After this it was on to the activities which included Volleyball,Penalty Kicks,Long Puck,Long Kick,Longest throw,Tug O war,Slippery Slope,Water games and Bouncy Castle.There was something for everyone and despite the bad weather everyone had a good time.After dinner there was a Disco and Campfire.
On Sunday morning the boys took part in a Treasure Trail.It was then time for the closing ceremony and departure.
A big thank you to all the Leaders and Venturers/Scouts who helped out this weekend and to Pat Guilfoyle for transporting all the gear to and from this event.
