Finally lets hope that the Group can continue to go from strength to strength in the new Year and we wish everyone a very successful year. This is a year when 3 of our Scouts will bring great honour to our group when the take part in February in the Crean challenge which takes place in Iceland. Its a year when both our Beavers and Cubs hope to go to Jamoige in Dublin in June and our Rovers hope to go to Riverway in Finland in July

Well done to our Cubs tonight who entertained the old folk at the City Home Carol Singing in 5 different wards.2 of the boys also played the tin whistle and recorder. All the cubs did themselves and the Caherdavin group proud.Well done to the leaders as well
We would like to thank you for all your support over the past few months. We’ve been busy introducing the Beavers to the ONE Programme and we’ve a lot more exciting activities planned for the next couple of months.
At our last parents meeting we discussed the possibility of attending Jam Oige, the Jamboree for Beavers and Cubs on June 3rd/4th in Ardgillan Castle, Dublin. The event is estimated to cost €60-€80 but we are currently looking at ways to lower this cost.
A €10 deposit is required next Monday in order for us so we know how many beavers will attend this event. Please include this in an envelope with your son’s name on it.
Next week we will be holding our Christmas Party for all our Beavers. For this we would like all beavers to bring up their letter to Santa on the night. This will be our last meeting until January 9th.
Just a date for your diary- we will be having our investiture ceremony on Monday 6th February in the Scout Hall. This is where we formally welcome our new beavers into the Scout Movement, a worldwide family of over 30 million people. Family members are welcome on this night.
If you have any question, please don’t hesitate to contact the leaders.
Yours in Scouting
The Beaver Leaders (Ger, Barry, Ciara, Eanna, Aaron)
