There’s just two weeks to go until our crew of Venture Scouts, Rover Scouts and Scouters head off on their Winter Skills Training Expedition to Scotland! The lads are currently making the last minute preparations such as sorting out their gear and finalising the menu for the trip. Updates will be posted on our facebook page
The Cubs attended the County Cub Founders day at Curraghchase Forest Park on Sunday Feb 20th 2011.We had 13 Cubs and 2 Leaders at this event. The first part of the day consisted of the boys going around to different bases and playing the games the other cub packs had set up Our lads took part in a blindfold Trail,Capture the flag and a quick game of tip rugby. They then went with the ARC for cubs to collect wood for the campfire. The base that our cub pack set up was the Blindfold Trail.
Unfortunatly the weather turned bad after lunch so the programme of ship to shore and the campfire had to be cancelled. The boys had free time to play in the wood instead and I think the enjoyed this the most. This was an enjoyable few hours despite the poor weather in the afternoon
