Shane goes south

Congratulations to former scout Shane Wharton who recently returned from the Beyond Endurance Expedition. The expedition offers TY students from around the country an opportunity to travel to to South Georgia, Elephant Island and the Antarctic Peninsula where and experience the History and incredible Scenery of the Antarctic .

Shane was one of a small group of lucky students from around the country chosen to accompany noted Polar explorer Pat Falvey on what can be described as the trip of a lifetime. Shane was chosen because of his experience in the Scouts.

Shane’s blog from the trip can be found here: http://www.mavya.com/tyact2008/ShaneWharton.aspx
