The Rover Scout Crew is our newest section. It caters for 18-26 year olds. Rover Scouts is a network offering exciting opportunities whether you’re into rock-climbing, kayaking or something more obscure. You’ll always find someone to share your interests, and head for a drink afterwards.

The Rover Programme is based on Adventure, Socializing, developing your skills and helping the environment and the community.  Everything beyond this is up to you. The possibilities are endless. There is no leader in Rover Scouting, instead they have a mentor or advisor who is there to give advice and support when needed. Rovers take on projects, either as individuals or in small teams, that help them complete personal challenges as part of the Rover Programme.

We currently have 8 Rovers. In 2011 we went to Scotland for a Winter Hill Skills Training expedition with the Rovers. This year we will be returning to Scotland. Several of our rovers help out in other sections as Scouters or skills instructors.
